Faux pas but disaster averted…….read more!

Just want to say it’s a good job that I am in Marketing and not Sales due to my faux pas today. Coach never arrived at Forton and after 45 minutes I phoned them most disgruntled only to find the duty manager telling me there were no pickups from Forton today!!

I argued of course there was as my husband and I had been there since 7.45am waiting for the coach!! Imagine my embarrassment when I realised that I had booked the wrong date for myself and should have fact been there a month earlier!!!

Eavesway could not have been better about my most obvious error and immediately pulled out all the stops. They said if we could get to their depot we could travel down on an empty coach that was picking up P & O passengers tomorrow.

I immediately made the daughter father phone call and asked if he could pick us up and take us through to Wigan which of course as any doting father knows they cannot say no even to their grown up daughters.

Upon arrival at the depot in Wigan I was subjected to several hilarious outbursts by the reservations team there with whom Cruise Connections speak to on a regular basis.

I have also received several calls from the sales team at Cruise Connections with various levels of friendly abuse aimed at me.

I would just like to say that I made my booking and my mistake in no way represents the professional service offered by the REAL sales team.

Finally we were on the coach with 42 seats to ourselves with our wonderful driver, Garth. Eavesway really does take the hassle out of everything and we arrived safely in Southampton ready for our overnight stay before embarking the Independence tomorrow.
