Changes to P & O Ship -Oriana from November 2011

When Artemis leaves the fleet next May the number of exclusively for adults holidays available within the P&O Cruises programme will be effectively reduced as Adonia, her replacement, is a smaller ship. We therefore wish to add a third ship to offer this type of holiday. We are able to do this as Azura, the most recent ship to be added to our fleet provides additional holidays for families. Therefore, when Oriana comes out of her refit in November 2011 she will become a ship exclusively for adults.

P&O Cruises has seven ships in our fleet and after November 30th 2011 four will continue to welcome families (Aurora, Azura, Oceana and Ventura) and three, (Adonia, Arcadia and Oriana) will be “exclusively for adults”. We are totally committed to satisfying the holiday needs of both families and those travelling without children.

FLIGHT BOOKER WITH P & O

P & O have now introduced the option to pre book specific flight seats for a supplement (from £25pp return) on their Thomson and Thomas Cook charter flights.

Seats are bookable through the Cruise Personaliser on P & O’s website and must be paid for at the time using either a credit or debit card online at the time of booking.

Seats will be available between 12 weeks – 7 days before departure. If you choose not to pre book your seats they will be allocated at check in.

If you do not have access to the internet and are a customer of Cruise Connections we will happily book seats for you however you must have your payment details readily available as we cannot complete the process without inputting card details at the time of obtaining the seats.

P&O promises its ‘biggest world programme ever’

P&O Cruises is promising that its 2011-12 world cruise programme, which launches this week, will be its biggest ever.

Featuring five ships, taking in 177 ports in 55 countries, with 95 separate holidays to choose from, the 2011/12 world cruise brochure will be available for sale from Thursday July 15 2010.

As well as P&O’s newest ship Adonia, which launches next spring, the programme features the only Alaskan cruise departing from the UK, on Arcadia.

Five world cruises featuring in the programme include:

• Arcadia, 72-night Grand Alaska Adventure departing Tuesday April 12 2011
• Adonia, 87-night South America Grand Adventure departing Friday January 13 2012
• Arcadia, 109-night Grand Odyssey departing Monday January 9 2012
• Aurora, 98-night westabout full world circumnavigation departing Wednesday January 4 2012
• Oriana, 97-night eastabout full world circumnavigation departing Thursday January 5 201.2

P&O Cruises managing director Carol Marlow said: “A world cruise is the ultimate holiday experience and this programme has more opportunities to see the world than ever before.

Flexicruise with P & O – the new way to Cruise!

If you can be flexible with your departure date and stateroom location you will get a great discount on your holiday. You pay a set, reduced amount for your preferred stateroom type on a 15 night Caribbean fly-cruise and we’ll allocate you a cruise subsequent to booking but in good time for your departure. You can benefit from substantial savings off the brochure fare with Flexicruise – from £150 to £1000 in this case.

There are two groups of cruises to choose from, you simply need to decide whether you would like to cruise before or after Christmas. The first group of pre-Christmas holidays consists of five Caribbean cruises, each with a Friday or Saturday departure date and the second, nine Caribbean holidays, also with Friday and Saturday departure dates. With Flexicruise you may be allocated any of the holidays within the group you’ve chosen, but there’s really no mystery – your cruise will be one of the two itineraries featured and there is one guaranteed price per stateroom type (Inside, Outside, Balcony or Superior Deluxe) .  Booking is easy – just like usual you will be asked for your personal details and need to state your stateroom and dining preferences.
