Mekong

Flowing through six Asian countries over 2700 miles, the “Mother Water” is home to a hugely diverse variety of fish, birds, reptiles and, of course, humans. Water is very important to the economy of this area, and provides a living to many people in many forms, not least tourism. Sailing down the river one will encounter sights such as floating markets, Buddhist temples, rural villages, and possibly the Cantor’s giant softshell turtle, which can still be found in parts of Cambodia.
